Local, state and regional groups, with the help
of the North Carolina General Assembly, worked hard to make the
Technology and Business Center a reality in North Carolina. The NCTeleCenter was established through a grant from the
e–NC Authoity to the
Northeastern North Carolina Regional Economic Development Commission on behalf of Martin County. The e–NC
Authority was
created by the North Carolina General Assembly with funding from the NC
Microelectronics Center. The NCTeleCenter is one of
seven such
centers across North Carolina.
